Am sadly obcessed with watching this train wreck. Understand the spin is that the judges watch the rehearsal videos before the show so they have time to think about their responses.
And as everyone who has ever done performances of any kind knows - dress rehearsals are Always Exactly The Same as the real performance - lol
However it would explain some of the "WTF were they watching??" comments I remember from when watched the show.
