The first story has the worst Maine governor ever appealing to the worst administration ever. The Feds don't think all the damage and economic impact suffered in Aroostook County during that god awful storm, qualifies us for help.
The second story has the Maine legislature actually doing something to help. They have passed a law that will make predatory lending and equity stripping illegal.

Given the attention grabbing, downright stupid & potentially damaging Bills that have been been showing up in my Inbox lately - it's nice to see the 123rd may do something that will actually benefit the people they represent before their session ends next week.
Legislators running out of time - one of the most dangerous creatures known to the (financial) future of mankind. :[
As to the other - not a fan of the Gov but not sure can slam him on this one. Need to convince TPTB that moose can vote - kidding - mostly.
