File Under: Supreme Court to hear FCC appeal

The Supreme Court has decided to hear the FCC's appeal of a District court decision striking down its fleeting expletive policy. There are only two reasons for the court to want to hear this case. They want to remind the FCC about the first amendment, or they are preparing to wipe their ass with it.

The FCC said the "F-word" in any context "inherently has a sexual connotation" and can trigger enforcement.

Oh for - -
Trying to apply that concept to things like STFU or SNAFU and just keep coming back to WTF?
Wouldn't have given the outcome a second thought pre-Bush appointments - now....
